Community Services Committee

The Community Services Committee consists of numerous
subcommittees to serve the needs of the Marin Community.

  • Through the Adopt-A-School Committee, Marin County Dental Society dentist members provide dental education to children in both Marin's public and private schools.
  • The Dental Careers Committee works actively to promote dental careers to the general public, including high school and college students, as well as re-entry job seekers.
  • The Community Services Committee provides a consultant to give scientific information regarding the risks and benefits of fluoride during times when it becomes a health issue in our community.
  • The Health Fairs/Senior Dental Health Committee educates seniors with regard to dental disease, and provides dental health information to all ages through public education fairs.
  • The Orthodontic Screening Committee functions to help provide applicants under 18 years of age orthodontic care through the California Children's Services Program.

Emergency Services

Marin County Dental Society makes available an on-call dentist for patients without an existing dentist, and those new to the area who have not yet established a relationship with a dentist.
These dentists volunteer in one-week segments. They may be reached by phone for consultation and arrangements made for your office visit. Fees are to be arranged between the patient and the dentist, and are due at the time of treatment.
